Connor Holland each shot 2-over to lead the third-place Bison men's golf team after the first round at The Summit League Championship on Monday, April 21, at Sky Creek Ranch golf club.
The Bison shot a combined 13-over 301, with three NDSU players among the top-20 golfers.
Denver shot 4-over-par 292 as a team for first place and IUPUI sits in second with a 296.
NDSU's Olson and Holland are tied with three others for seventh place, with each shooting a 74. Redshirt junior
Ursinio Puga shot a 4-over 76 and is tied for 17
th, junior
Bill Carlson finished 5-over and is tied for 21
st and senior
Kyle Jandro shot an 8-over 80 to round out the Bison lineup.
Fort Wayne's Jacob Groninger holds the individual lead by shooting 3-under-par 69 in the first round. Denver's Patrick Frodigh is in second after shooting a 70 and South Dakota's Alex Kline is in third by finishing 1-under-par.
NDSU continues Summit League tournament play with the Bison teeing off for the second round at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, at Sky Creek Ranch golf club in Keller, Texas.
