ELMHURST, Ill. – North Dakota State's
Sarah Storandt was named The Summit League's Female Golfer of the Week by the league office Wednesday, April 9, after achieving individual honors at the Gary Crossely Ford Kansas City Shootout in three rounds on April 7-8.
Storandt, a junior from Moorhead, Minn., claimed her second honor of the season after capturing her third individual title this season. She fired rounds of 76, 72 and 75 for a 54-hole 7-over 223. She finished six strokes ahead of three golfers that tied for second place as the Bison placed third out of 15 teams.
Storandt had previously earned individual honors this past fall at the Concordia Cobber Open and the North Dakota Fall Classic.
South Dakota State's Hudson Carpenter recorded his second career Male Golfer of the Week award after capturing the ASU Red Wolf Intercollegiate title by three strokes. He carded a season-low 54-hole score of 211 (76-67-68), while his second round 67 was also a season-low.
The NDSU women's golf team will travel to Keller, Texas, for The Summit League Championship, which begins on Monday, April 21.
