Junior
Brandt Berghuis posted a big mark to win the weight throw, tossing a season-best and league-leading 62-01.75 (18.94m). Berghuis moves into the nation's top 70 performers in the weight throw with that mark.

NDSU redshirt freshman
Jonah Warwick ran 1:21.31 in the 600m to take second place in the meet and rank seventh in NDSU history in the event. Freshman
Matt Bedard placed third in 1:22.73.

The Bison distance medley relay squad of
Bryon Schuldt,
Aron Klos,
Brendan Skime and
Matt Jennings earned a runner-up finish in 10:23.12.

Senior
Trevor Berner finished third in the weight throw at 57-03.50 (17.46m). Sophomore
Conrad Schwarzkopf took sixth at 56-00.00 (17.07m).

Through the first four events of the heptathlon, NDSU sophomore
Grant Mjelstad leads with 2,721 points, and freshman
Matt Moberg is second with 2,631 points. Mjelstad, a Fargo native, recorded the top mark in the heptathlon long jump at 21-10.75 (6.67m) and the second-best mark in the shot put.

The Thundering Herd Classic resumes at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow inside the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track & Field Facility.
