Kelby Anderson broke school records to highlight the performances by the North Dakota State women's track & field team at the Thundering Herd Classic on Saturday.

Retzlaff extended her NDSU shot put record – established at the first meet of the year in early December – to 56-04.75 (17.19m), ranking No. 3 in the NCAA this year. Anderson took down
Amy Andrushko's two-year-old NDSU record in the 1000m, winning the race in 2:51.17 to break the record by more than one second.

The Bison women swept the top eight places in the shot put at the meet, with
Shelby Gunnells,
Maggie Schwarzkopf,
Kelsey Laufenberg,
Maddy Nilles,
Akealy Moton,
Tasha Willing, and
Amanda Anderson. Each of the top five NDSU women surpassed 48 feet.

The Bison women also swept the top three places and six of the top seven in the weight throw, led by champion Retzlaff at 65-00.00 (19.81m). Laufenberg was second, and sophomore
Amy Herrington took third with a personal-best 58-04.75 (17.80m).

Peyton Frolek finished second and now ranks seventh in NDSU history, running 2:54.36. Senior
Annika Rotvold placed third and stands eighth all-time at NDSU in 2:55.65.

The Bison women swept the titles in all four jumps events.

Junior
Jocelyn Dinius won the pole vault and moved up to 7th in NDSU indoor history with a new personal-best, clearing 12-07.50 (3.85m). Later in the meet, she clocked a PR of 7.89 seconds in the 60m dash and finished third.

Daejha Moss won the high jump (5-04.25 / 1.63m) and placed second in the long jump (18-11.25 / 5.77m). Senior
Bailey DeMar took the long jump title with an indoor personal-best mark of 19-00.50 (5.80m).

Freshman
Jodi Lipp (St. Cloud, Minn.) won the triple jump crown, leaping 38-11.50 (11.87m) for the win.

Jen Dufner won the mile with a personal-best time of 5:04.16, and redshirt freshman
Mackenzie Holkesvig was the runner-up in a personal-best 5:04.23.

Alyssa Lind took first in the 600m in 1:36.44.

The Bison host Northern Iowa and Wyoming next Saturday, Jan. 19, for the inaugural Bison Team Cup – a triangular, scored meet with a team champion crowned at the conclusion.
