Border States congratulates Kara O'Byrne, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
O'Byrne, a sophomore pitcher from Stewartville, Minn., has a 3.929 GPA in business. She earned her first career Summit League softball Pitcher of the Week award after going 2-0 in two starts for the Bison, who extended their winning streak to eight games. O'Byrne had a 0.53 ERA while allowing just 11 hits in 13 1/3 innings while striking out six hitters.
