Border States congratulates Jacquelyn Sertic, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.

Sertic, a senior right-handed pitcher for the Bison softball team from Sparks, Nev., was named Summit League Pitcher of the Year for the second time in her career. She compiled a 7-1 record with five shutouts and an 0.89 ERA in the regular season. Sertic earned her sixth Pitcher of the Week award after pitching two shutouts with 27 strikeouts in 20 innings against Western Illinois to help NDSU clinch the regular-season title.  She has a 3.683 GPA majoring in zoology.
