Dacotah Field Bubble
ADDRESS
1310 17th Ave. N.
Fargo, ND 58102
North Dakota State University's athletic teams trained inside the Dacotah Field Bubble for eight years from 2014 to 2022. The air-supported dome was inflated over the artificial turf of Dacotah Field.
Â
Manufactured by Rye Brook, N.Y.-based ASATI, the bubble measured 70 feet at its highest point and provided 87,400 square feet of climate-controlled training space for seasonal use.
Â
The bubble was busy from mid-November through mid-May for football, soccer, baseball, softball and golf. Located adjacent to the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track and Field Facility, the bubble also provided additional warmup space during track and field competitions.
In May 2022, the bubble was removed for the final time with the Nodak Insurance Football Performance Complex slated to become the permanent indoor practice facility for NDSU teams in the winter of 2022-23.
