Noland was an All-North Central Conference halfback as a junior in 1951 and in 1952 was named the NCC most valuable player. In 1952, he was third in the conference in rushing with 492 yards, averaged 6.8 yards per carry, and scored eight touchdowns for 48 points. He served six years in the Air Force before operating a sporting goods business in Sun Prairie.
