Bison football captain in 1931, who was featured in the record books with an 80-yard touchdown run against Davis & Elkins College (W.Va.) in 1930. The talented NDSU halfback also scored three touchdowns against the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 1929. Idol of young fans for his athletic prowess, and was popular as a harmonica player and featured acrobatic drummer in a campus jazz band. Owner of the Omaha (Neb.) Beverage and Equipment Co. for 23 years. Also employed by the Ford Motor Co., Firestone Rubber Co. and U.S. Rubber Co.
