One of the most exciting and prolific scorers in North Dakota State basketball history, Shogren earned All-North Central Conference honors as both a junior and senior and is 10th in school history in points scored (14.2 ppg).
He averaged 20.2 points per game as a junior, setting a school record with 586 points. The 6-foot-6 forward still holds the NDSU record for field goal attempts in a season (518 in 1977-78). He led the Bison in scoring 33 times including a career high of 29 against Cornell College in 1977-78.
An Academic All-NCC selection, Shogren attended Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Mo., since graduating from NDSU and has practiced in Moorhead, Minn., from 1982 to the present.
Shogren is a native of Alexandria, Minn., where he was an all-state and All-America prep player
