“Swede” used an impossible hook shot that made fans gasp in awe and disbelief in establishing himself as one of the top centers in NDSU history. First team All-NCC center for three consecutive seasons (1940-41-42), claiming a pair of league scoring championships. He was the leading Bison point-maker even as a sophomore. Moved to Chicago and then New York City after four years of military (U.S. Navy) service, working in sales positions with Uniroyal and later Anaconda Wire and Cable Co.
