Peschel was an All-North Central Conference performer at tackle for the Bison in 1934. His fondest memory that year was blocking two kicks against the University of Minnesota which resulted in touchdowns for the Bison in a 52-12 loss to the national champion Gophers. From 1935 to 1942, Peschel played with Winnipeg when the Blue Bombers captured four Grey Cup titles.
