Four-year letterwinner in football at North Dakota State who assisted the Bison coaching staff in 1929 before launching a fabulous high school coaching career at Mohall, Williston and Mandan for a total of 27 years, then coaching at Marysville before retiring. Authored the book, So You Want to be a Football Coach. Mach coached former Bison coach Ron Erhardt at Mandan and was on hand in California when Erhardt brought his Bison to Sacramento in 1969 and 1970 to compete in the Camellia Bowl.
