Consensus first team All-American his junior year in 2000 by the Associated Press, The Football Gazette, American Football Coaches Association, Daktronics NCAA Division II and D2football.com after earning second team as a sophomore in 1999 … One of three finalists for the Harlon Hill Award as the nation's best Division II player in 2000 ... Honorable mention All-American in 2001 … Played in the 2002 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., and participated in the NFL Combine … Was first NDSU football player to become a three-time all-North Central Conference first team selection ... Rushed for school career record 4,700 yards on 783 attempts in 41 games from 1998-2001 including a NDSU single-season record 1,727 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2000 … Led team in rushing all four seasons … Finished career with 31 100-yard games including four 200-yard efforts … Rushed for a then school single-game record 260 yards against South Dakota during 2000 season … Led Bison to NCAA Division II semifinals during 2000 season … Rushed for over 100 yards in three playoff games … Was the 84th overall selection in the third round of the National Football League draft by the St. Louis Rams … Played for St. Louis, Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions from 2002-06 ... Following his five-year NFL career, Lamar worked four years as a youth advisor/mentor/coach in his hometown of Milwaukee with a non-profit organization, the Running Rebels, which provides services and direction for inner-city youth ... Family life consists of mother, Sharron Gordon; grandmother Amy Words; two sisters, Tameeka and Shameeka Gordon; two daughters, Kya and Mahaiyla Gordon, and girlfriend, Leshonte' Mills ...
