NDSU. He had 47 pins among his 94 wins. Reimnitz finished fifth in the nation as a senior at 150. He was a three-time North Central Conference placewinner, claiming the NCC title in 1979. He came from Bismarck (N.D.) High School where he won two state prep wrestling championships and was part of the record-setting 162-dual match winning streak. He is a member of the North Dakota High School Wrestling Hall of Fame and joined the United States Marine Corps after graduation in 1980. He became a helicopter pilot in the Corps and earned the rank of Major in the Marine Corps Reserve.
