Twice earned all-conference honors in both football and basketball while competing for NDSU in the early 1950s. Also competed in baseball, earning nine letters and two numerals as a Bison. Also played basketball and football while in service after graduating from NDSU in 1954. Was with the U.S. Department of Agriculture at various points in North Dakota before joining the Prudential Insurance Co. in 1963.
