Member of Bison championship teams in two North Central Conference sports -- basketball (1970-71) and baseball (1973). Earned All-NCC baseball honors as a freshman, sophomore and senior.
Connecting for a .385 batting aveage, six home runs and 30 RBIs, the shortstop led the NDSU to a NCC co-championship. Established league records for doubles, triples, runs scored and RBIs, and led the league in doubles as a junior.
He served as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army and worked for ConAgra (1977-79) and Honeywell (1979-83) before assuming the presidency of Midwest Leasing, Inc., of Bismarck in 1983.
