Bison Ink Schilling and Schanandore to National Letters of Intent

FARGO, ND--Ross Schilling of Harvey (ND) High School and Mandan (ND) High School's James Schanandore have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their education and compete in track & field at North Dakota State University.
That announcement was made today by Bison head coach Don Larson.
Schilling is a six-time state champion. He won the 800, 1600 and 3200-meter runs in 2003 and added indoor titles in the 400, 800 and 1600 this year.
Also a standout basketball and football player at Harvey, Schilling will be a middle-distance runner at North Dakota State. He is the son of Willy and Karen Schilling.
Schanandore was the indoor state champion in the 3000 meters this year and he was runner-up at the state cross country meet last fall.
In addition to running long distance for the Bison, Schanandore will run cross country at North Dakota State. He is the son of Steve and Myra Schanandore.
NDSU previously signed Austin (MN) High School multi-event standout Evan Sorenson during the NCAA's early signing period.
The Bison won North Central Conference men's track & field championships indoors and outdoors this year.
North Dakota State will be an NCAA Division I independent team in 2005.
