North Dakota State-South Dakota State Softball Rained Out Wednesday

FARGO, N.D.--North Dakota State University's softball game with South Dakota State University on Wednesday, April 29, at the Ellig Sports Complex has been cancelled because of rain. It will not be made up.

The teams did attempt to play. South Dakota State led 1-0 with one out in the bottom of the first inning when the game was called.

North Dakota State (30-16, 17-3 Summit) defeated South Dakota State (9-38, 6-14 Summit) in a Summit League doubleheader on Tuesday by the scores of 5-0 and 3-2.

The Bison reached the 30 win mark for the third straight season with the sweep. NDSU trails Western Illinois (27-17, 17-2 Summit League) by a half-game in the league standings.

North Dakota State is scheduled to close out regular season play May 1-2 with a Summit League three-game series against Centenary College (29-19, 12-7 Summit) at the Ellig Sports Complex. SDSU is scheduled to host Oakland University (19-27, 9-11 Summit) on May 1-2 in Brookings.
