
NDSU?s Amy Anderson Named Division I All-America Honorable Mention

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. ? North Dakota State's Amy Anderson was named a Division I women's golf All-America honorable mention by the National Golf Coaches Association on Friday, May 21.
Anderson, a freshman from Oxbow, N.D., placed second at the Summit League championship and was an at-large individual qualifier for the NCAA West Regional, where she tied for 17th place and missed the national championship cut by three strokes.
Anderson led The Summit League with a 74.0 average and was the Newcomer of the Year and an All-Summit League first-team performer. She set NDSU records for lowest 18-hole round, 36-hole tournament, and 54-hole tournament, and her five tournament victories are an NDSU single-season and career record.
Eleven players make up the NGCA All-America first team, 11 are on the second team, and 14 receive honorable mention. Players are evaluated on head-to-head competition, common opponents, scoring average, place finishes and strength of schedule.
