Bison Roll Past Concordia in Exhibition Play, 90-48

FARGO, N.D. - Freshman point guard Lawrence Alexander scored 13 of his 15 points in the first half to propel North Dakota State to a 90-48 win over Concordia Moorhead in exhibition men's basketball Saturday, Nov. 5, before a crowd of 1,824 at the Bison Sports Arena.

Alexander added a game-high five assists and was one of three NDSU players with seven rebounds as the Bison outrebounded Concordia 38-25.  Taylor Braun scored a game-high 16 points and Marshall Bjorklund had 13 for North Dakota State.

NDSU got at least five points from five different bench players including eight points from Nate Zastrow and six points, seven rebounds from Chris Kading.  The Bison bench outscored Concordia's 32-15.  Fred Newell buried a corner 3-pointer and had three steals in six minutes.

Jacob Huus and Dewon McKenzie had 11 points apiece for Concordia.  The Cobbers shot 34 percent from the floor compared to 64 percent for the Bison.

North Dakota State is scheduled to open the regular season against San Francisco at 6 p.m. PT next Friday, Nov. 11, in the USF Hilltop Challenge.  The Bison also play Louisiana-Lafayette and Northern Arizona in the three-day event before returning home.
