Antoinette Goodman were named The Summit League's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for their performances March 21-22, marking the initial awards of the 2014 outdoor season.
Men's Athlete of the Week
Trevor Berner, North Dakota State
Jr. // Apache Junction, Ariz.
Berner earns his first career Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week award after finishing fifth in the hammer throw at the Baldy Castillo Invitational hosted by Arizona State. The junior tossed a league and personal-best mark of 197-03 (60.12m), ranking 27th nationally.
Women's Athlete of the Week
Antoinette Goodman, North Dakota State
Sr. // Burnsville, Minn.
Goodman captures her second career Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honor after a trio of top-four finishes, including an event win and school record, at the Baldy Castillo Invitational. The Burnsville, Minn., native posted league-best times in a pair of events, winning the 100 meters in a school-record time of 11.64 and placing third in the 200 meters with a time 23.82.
Her 200m time is tied for 14th in the nation, while her 100m time is tied for 17th. The senior also finished fourth in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 19-07 (5.97m), second-best in the league and tied for 18th nationally.
