WORCESTER, Mass. – The North Dakota State University women's soccer team (4-3) dropped a non-league match at Holy Cross (7-0-1), 1-0, on Sunday, Sept. 14, at Linda Johnson Smith Stadium. It was NDSU's third straight setback.
Gina Righini put the Crusaders up 1-0 after she netted her first goal of the season in the 28th-minute of the match.
The Bison nearly leveled the match on four separate occasions after the Crusaders' opening goal, but all four chances were saved by Holy Cross goalkeeper Carly McCabe, sealing the victory for the Crusaders.
For the match, NDSU was outshot by Holy Cross, 15-7, and only took one corner kick compared to five by the Crusaders.

Sierra Bonham posted seven saves but suffered the loss to fall to 4-3 overall in goal.
Holy Cross goalie McCabe improved to 7-0-1 after making a total of five saves in net.
The Bison will look to snap their three-match losing skid when they travel to Edwardsville, Ill., on Friday, Sept. 19, for a match against SIU Edwardsville. First-kick is scheduled for 7 p.m.
