HIGH POINT, N.C. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team blew out High Point University on Sunday afternoon, earning a 70-44 win in the final game of the High Point Tournament.

NDSU improves to 4-1 on the season with the victory. High Point (3-2) has won four consecutive Big South Conference regular season titles.

NDSU junior guard
Paul Miller led an efficient offensive attack for the Bison, pouring in 25 points on 9-of-11 shooting and matching his career-high with 10 rebounds. It was his second career double-double.

Sophomore point guard
Khy Kabellis added 12 points for the Bison, and senior
Carlin Dupree chipped in 11 points and three assists.

The Bison limited High Point to 29-percent shooting in the contest, while NDSU shot 51 percent from the floor. The Panthers committed 15 turnovers.

NDSU used a 15-0 run early in the game to open up a 17-5 advantage. Miller keyed the run with a three-pointer and a traditional three-point play.

After High Point cut the margin to four at 28-24 with three minutes left in the first half, the Bison scored 18 straight points over the end of the half and the start of the second half. NDSU led 46-24 with 15 minutes remaining.

The Bison led by as many as 33 in the game and were ahead for 38 of the 40 minutes.

The Bison will host Waldorf on Tuesday at 8 p.m. following the NDSU women's game against Colorado at the Scheels Center.
