FARGO, N.D. – The University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks outscored the North Dakota State University women's basketball team in the second half, 47-33, to lift them to a 76-55 victory over the Bison before 1,319 spectators Saturday, Dec. 10, inside the Scheels Center at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex.

Taylor Thunstedt both scored 15 points to lead NDSU (1-9), with Jones also pulling down a team-high seven rebounds. Freshman
Sarah Jacobson added a season-high six boards and six assists, respectively.
NDSU shot just 32 percent from the field in the game and committed 21 turnovers, which led to 23 North Dakota points.
The Bison were also outrebounded in the contest, 47-36, and outscored in the paint, 32-20.
Makailah Dyer tallied 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting, and Lexi Klabo added a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, leading North Dakota (3-5).
For the game, the Fighting Hawks shot 38 percent from the floor and went 20-of-24 at the free-throw line for 83 percent. UND also had 15 steals and 17 turnovers in the contest.
North Dakota State is scheduled to host Mayville State University on Monday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m.
