CLEARWATER, Fla. – The North Dakota State University baseball team fell to Army, 6-3, on Tuesday, March 15, at Jack Russell Stadium in Clearwater.
North Dakota State (9-6) is scheduled to open Summit League play at Western Illinois in Macomb, Ill., on Friday, March 18, at 3 p.m.
Sophomore infielder
Drew Fearing went 1-for-4 at the plate and tallied two stolen bases, one run and one RBI to lead NDSU. Five other Bison each compiled one hit in the contest.
North Dakota State right-hander
Jordan Harms (0-1) suffered the loss on the mound after giving up three earned runs on four hits with one strikeout.
Kris Linder and Trey Martin both went 3-for-4 in the batter's box to pace the Army (6-9) offense.
Jacob Carte (1-2) tallied the win on the mound for Army after tossing 4.2 inninings in relief and allowing one earned run on two hits with four strikeouts and three walks.
