STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State used a 13-0 run early in the second half to pull away for a victory over the North Dakota State men's basketball team on Thursday evening at Humphrey Coliseum. Sophomore guard Tyson Carter scored a career-high 35 points for MSU with six three-pointers.

Mississippi State improved to 6-0 on the season, and NDSU fell to 3-4.
Paul Miller led the Bison with 19 points, five rebounds and four assists.
A.J. Jacobson scored 15 with 4-for-5 shooting from beyond the arc.

The Bison missed their first nine shots of the game and fell behind by as many as 15 points in the first half, but NDSU closed the half with a 10-0 run. The Bison held Mississippi State scoreless over the final 5:18 of the opening half for a 29-24 score at the break.

Miller scored 11 in the first 17 minutes to keep NDSU afloat.

NDSU only trailed 29-27 in the first minute of the second half after
A.J. Jacobson knocked down his third three-pointer, but the Bulldogs exploded for a 13-0 run over the next three minutes to go up 42-27. MSU pushed the margin to 23 at 58-35 with 12:30 remaining.
