No. 2 Florida Powers Past NDSU 13-0

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Chelsea Herndon went 3-for-3 with a home run, double and five runs batted in to lead No. 2-ranked University of Florida to a 13-0 win over North Dakota State on Wednesday, March 15, at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
 
NDSU (10-15) is scheduled to play No. 4/5-ranked Auburn (22-3) in the first game of the USF Spring Classic in Tampa.
 
Florida (23-1) broke open the game with a 10-run fourth inning highlighted by Janell Wheaton's grand slam and Herndon's three-run home run. Wheaton finished 3-for-4 with five RBI. The Gators had 13 hits overall.
 
Zoe Stavrou went 2-for-2 to lead North Dakota State
 
Jacquelyn Sertic (8-11) and KK Leddy pitched for NDSU with Sertic recording the loss.
 
Aleshia Ocasio and Katie Chronister pitched for Florida with Ocasio picking up the win. The pair combined to strike out four, walk four and allow three hits.
