GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Faith Dooley hit .444 with nine kills and five blocks to lead balanced University of North Dakota to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-9, 25-13) win over North Dakota State in a non-conference volleyball match played Wednesday, Sept. 6, before a sellout crowd of 3,140 at the Betty Engelstad Sports Center.

NDSU (4-3) is scheduled to host George Washington (1-5) at 10 a.m and Appalachian State (2-5) at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, in the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.

McKenzie Burke recorded a career-high 13 kills to keep North Dakota State close in the early going before UND pulled away midway in all three sets,
Mikaela Purnell came up with a match-high 27 digs, while
Brianna Rasmusson finished with 23 assists and 10 digs. Â

North Dakota (10-1) finished the evening with 11 team blocks and hit .239. The Fighting Hawks were led by Ashley Brueggeman's match-high six blocks, while Jordan Vail had four. Bruggeman and Vail both finished with seven kills. Sydney Griffin collected 31 assists Tamara Merseli claimed 16 digs.
