Paul Miller scored 25 points, and sophomore
Tyson Ward added 17 as the North Dakota State men's basketball team earned a 73-58 win over Omaha in Summit League play Thursday night at the Scheels Center.

NDSU improved to 11-10 overall and 3-3 in conference games, while Omaha fell to 7-16 overall and 2-5 in the league.

Miller drained five three-pointers and scored his 25 points on 12 shots, topping 20 points for the eighth consecutive game. In NDSU's Division I era, no other Bison has ever scored 20-plus in more than five straight games.

The Bison clamped down defensively, holding the Mavericks to a season-low 58 points. Omaha's previous season-low of 64 points came at nationally ranked Kansas on Dec. 18.

NDSU held a slim 25-24 advantage with seven minutes left in the first half before rattling off a 16-0 run over the next four minutes. The run featured threes from
Rocky Kreuser, Miller, Ward and
Chris Quayle, as well as two fastbreak dunks by Ward.

NDSU held Omaha scoreless for nearly six minutes to open the second half. The Bison led by as many as 19 with nine minutes left and maintained a double-digit margin for the final 20 minutes. Â

Ward came off the bench to score 17 points, including four dunks in the contest. He also tallied five rebounds and three steals.

Spencer Eliason put up eight points and a career-high seven rebounds. Sophomore guard
Chris Quayle scored nine points with three treys.
