NASSAU, Bahamas – The North Dakota State men's basketball team cruised to a 76-51 victory over Towson in the consolation round of the Islands of the Bahamas Showcase on Sunday.

NDSU improved its record to 2-3 with the win. The Bison raced out to a 17-8 lead in the game's first seven minutes and led for 38 of 40 minutes in the contest.

Tyree Eady made his first career start and scored a season-high 14 points. Junior forward
Deng Geu added 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting, and junior
Tyson Ward scored 11 for NDSU.

Bison sophomore
Rocky Kreuser grabbed double-digit rebounds for the first time in his career, posting 10 rebounds to go with 8 points. Junior guard
Vinnie Shahid finished with eight assists, seven rebounds, five points, three steals and no turnovers.

With the score at 20-19, the Bison used a 9-0 run capped by a three-point play from Geu to expand the margin. NDSU led 36-23 at halftime.

Towson pulled within 11 at 42-31 just over four minutes into the second half, but NDSU responded with an 18-0 run to put the game out of reach.

The Bison led by as many as 30 points in the second half. NDSU shot 46 percent for the game and made 11 three-pointers.
