TUCSON, Ariz. – The North Dakota State University baseball team dropped the series finale of a three-game series at Arizona, 11-2, Sunday, March 11, in front of 2,709 spectators at Hi Corbett Field.
North Dakota State (6-9) is scheduled to take on Dickinson State at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium in Tucson Monday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m. MST.
Redshirt junior
Jayse McLean went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a triple, and sophomore
Carter Thompson tallied two hits in three at bats, including a double, to lead the Bison at the plate.
NDSU right-handed starter
Jordan Harms (1-1) took the loss on the mound after allowing five earned runs on two hits with three walks and no strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings.
Cameron Cannon went 3-of-5 with three RBI, a run scored and stolen base, while Travis Moniot homered and drove in two runs, pacing the Wildcats (9-6) in the batter's box.
Arizona left-hander Randy Labaut (1-1) earned the victory after giving up one earned run on six hits with two strikeouts and one walk in 5 1/3 innings of work.
