FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's track & field and cross country program has added three more high school athletes to its 2020 recruiting class, head coach Stevie Keller announced Friday.

Reagan Baesler, a distance runner from Hillsboro, N.D.; Jaylen Struck-Schmitz, a hurdler from Belle Plaine, Minn.; and Anna Bartels, a mid-distance runner from Wayzata, Minn., will continue their education and compete at North Dakota State.

Baesler (Hillsboro/Central Valley HS) won four consecutive North Dakota state cross country championships in her high school career, taking the title each year from 2016-19. As a senior this fall, she also won her division at the Roy Griak Invitational. On the track, Baesler is a five-time state champion in the relays for Hillsboro/Central Valley, as well as earning individual runner-up honors three times between the 800m and 1600m.

Struck-Schmitz (Belle Plaine HS) is a two-time Minnesota state champion in the 300m hurdles and a multiple-time state placewinner in the 100m hurdles and 4x400m relay. She claimed her first state championship in the 300m hurdles a sophomore in 2018 and defended her title with a personal-best 43.11 to win again in 2019. Struck-Schmitz won conference and section titles in the 100m hurdles the past two seasons, placing fourth at the state meet in 2018.

Bartels (Wayzata HS) ran on a state runner-up 4x400m relay as a junior in 2019, as well as placing fifth at the state meet in the 4x800m relay. Her 4x200m relay teams have placed second at the Hamline Elite Meet the past two seasons.

The Bison women have won all 24 Summit League indoor and outdoor team titles since joining the league in 2008.
