NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Senior guard
Vinnie Shahid scored a career-high 30 points to lead the North Dakota State men's basketball team to a 71-62 victory at CSU Northridge on Wednesday night.

NDSU improved to 7-4 on the season. Bison senior
Tyson Ward finished with 12 points and nine rebounds, and junior
Rocky Kreuser had 12 points and seven boards.

The Bison used a 9-0 run late in the first half to hold a 34-26 advantage at the break. With the game knotted at 22-22, NDSU got three-pointers from
Jared Samuelson,
Jaxon Knotek and Shahid over a span of three minutes to go ahead 31-22.

It was a one-point game at 47-46 with eight minutes remaining when NDSU strung together an 8-0 run on a bucket in the post from
Cameron Hunter and two threes from Shahid and
Rocky Kreuser.

Shahid hit three three-pointers in the final seven minutes of the game. His six total three-pointers tied a career-high set at Oral Roberts on Jan. 26 last season.

NDSU made 12-of-30 (40 percent) from beyond the arc and shot 46 percent overall.
