TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team stormed back from an early deficit to take a second-half lead, before ultimately falling 71-60 at Indiana State on Tuesday evening.

Vinnie Shahid led the Bison with 18 points.

Indiana State (4-4) was led by 27 points from junior guard Tyreke Key.

NDSU (5-4) fell behind 20-4 in the first 15 minutes of the game. The Bison came all the way back to pull ahead 36-35 on a three pointer by Kreuser with 15:55 remaining.

Indiana State responded immediately with an 8-0 run to go up 43-36, and the Sycamores led the rest of the way.

NDSU bounced back from 24-percent shooting in the first half to make 48-percent over the final 20 minutes. Indiana State shot 46 percent for the game.

The Bison return home to host East Tennessee State on Saturday night at 7 p.m. ETSU is currently ranked No. 3 in the Mid-Major Top 25 poll.
