MACOMB, Ill. –
KK Leddy tossed a one-hitter and North Dakota State exploded for seven runs in the fifth inning as the Bison defeated Western Illinois 12-0 in a Summit League game played Saturday, March 30, at Mary Ellen McKee Stadium. The Bison have won 12 straight games.

NDSU (22-11, 4-0 SL) is scheduled to play a doubleheader at Western Illinois (7-15, 1-3 SL) at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 31.

After Leddy worked out of a bases-loaded situation in the bottom of the second, North Dakota State scored four runs in the top of the third inning.
Zoe Stavrou knocked in
Montana DeCamp on a fielder's choice, then
Cara Beatty hammered her sixth home run of the season, a three-run shot to right field to extend the lead to 4-0.

DeCamp tacked on another, with a solo home run to center to make it 5-0. It was the third home run of the season for DeCamp, who went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBI.

NDSU sent 11 batters to the plate in the top of the fifth and had seven hits including a two-run single from
Sam Koehn, RBI base hit from
Montana DeCamp, run-scoring hits from
Madyson Camacho and
Katie Shoultz, and two-run double from
Nicole Licea.

Leddy (12-6) worked around four walks and struck out four to record her sixth shutout of the season. Leddy allowed just a first inning single from Danielle Olson.

North Dakota State finished with a season-high 14 hits led by
Katie Shoultz and DeCamp, each with three hits. Ten different players had a base hit.
