SEATTLE, Wash. –
Montana DeCamp and
Vanessa Anderson both hit home runs as North Dakota State defeated Santa Clara 9-1 in five innings on Saturday, April 6, at Logan Field in the Seattle University Round-Robin. The Bison have won 17 games in a row.

NDSU (27-11) is scheduled to Portland State (12-18) at 12 p.m. CT Sunday, April 7.

North Dakota State collected 13 hits and scored in four of five innings starting in the bottom of the first when
Stephanie Soriano belted a double to left center to score
Katie Shoultz. However, Santa Clara (8-23) tied it up on a Eleni Spirakis RBI single. Soriano finished the game 3-for-3.

The Bison struck for three in the second, two coming on a
Montana DeCamp home run to left and a
Maddie Hansen sacrifice fly to break the tie and take a 4-1 lead. It was the fifth home run of the season for DeCamp.

Vanessa Anderson quickly extended the lead to 6-1 on a two-run home run to left in the third.

NDSU closed out the scoring and ended the game with three runs in the bottom of the fifth. DeCamp cracked a two-run RBI single to left center and
Avery Wysong claimed her first collegiate RBI with a base hit.
Sam Koehn, DeCamp and Anderson all had two hits. Soriano, Anderson and Koehn all scored two runs.

KK Leddy (15-6) recorded the win for the Bison. Leddy scattered seven hits, struck out six and walked a pair on 100 pitches. Aubree Kim (0-5) and Lauren Schiek pitched for the Broncos with Kim taking the loss. Hannah Russell and Spirakis each had two hits for Santa Clara.
