Dezmond McKinney's driving layup was blocked with two seconds remaining, and UNLV held on for a 64-62 victory over the North Dakota State men's basketball team on Monday night inside the Thomas & Mack Center.

Rocky Kreuser registered another double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead NDSU.
Maleeck Harden-Hayes added 12 points, and McKinney put up nine points, four steals, and four assists for the Bison.

Neither team led by more than seven at any point in the contest. After falling behind 37-30 four minutes into the second half, the Bison rallied to take a 45-42 lead on a three-pointer by
Jarius Cook with 10:30 to play.

The game was tied 52-52 with five minutes remaining, but the Rebels used a burst to go ahead 63-56 with 1:20 on the clock. After a dunk by Harden-Hayes and two free throws from McKinney with 10.5 seconds left, the Bison trailed 64-62.

UNLV's Marvin Coleman missed the front end of a one-and-one free throw opportunity with 8 seconds left, but McKinney's slashing attempt was blocked at the rim.

NDSU (2-1) shot 36 percent overall for the game and made 9-of-28 (32 percent) from three-point range. UNLV (3-0) shot 41 percent and earned a slight rebounding edge at 42-38.
