VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota posted a .257 hitting percentage and racked up 10 blocks to earn a 3-0 sweep of the North Dakota State volleyball team on Monday night inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. Set scores were 25-14, 25-16 and 25-23.

Ali Hinze led the Bison with 12 kills, and senior
Alexis Bachmeier totaled 13 digs. NDSU fell to 4-4 in Summit League play, while USD improved to 5-1.

South Dakota hit .429 in the opening set, then used a 7-1 run midway through the second set to go ahead 2-0 in the match. The Bison led 22-20 in the third, but three kills by USD's Elizabeth Juhnke sparked a Coyote run to end the match.

NDSU has next weekend off, before returning to host Western Illinois on Friday, March 5, and Saturday, March 6.
