OMAHA, Neb. - The Maverick pitching staff limited North Dakota State to just four hits Saturday, as Omaha beat the Bison 7-0 at Tal Anderson Field.
NDSU dropped to 17-8 overall and 6-5 in the Summit League, while Omaha improved to 10-13 overall and 5-2 in league play. The two teams will play the series finale on Sunday, with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.

Ben Smith suffered the loss on the mound, as he dropped to 4-2. Smith allowed five runs on 10 hits in 5.1 innings, while walking one and striking out a pair.
Jake Drew allowed a pair of runs on four hits in two-thirds of an innings, while
Zach Smith closed the game with two strikeouts in the final two innings.
Omaha had 14 singles in the game, as NDSU's Hill had the only extra base hit with a double. The Mavericks scored a pair of runs in the second and another in the fifth before pushing four across the plate in the sixth.
