FARGO, N.D. – Evan Gilyard scored 33 points to lead Kansas City to an 85-71 victory over the North Dakota State men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon at the Scheels Center.

The Roos shot 58 percent overall and made 10-of-14 (71 percent) from three-point range in the game. NDSU made 47 percent overall and 2-of-13 from beyond the arc.

Sam Griesel scored 21 points to lead the Bison – his fourth straight game with 20-plus points.
Rocky Kreuser finished with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Grant Nelson and
Tyree Eady all added nine points.

The game featured nine ties and 15 lead changes, as the Bison saw their six-game win streak snapped by a Kansas City run late in the second half.Â

NDSU led 65-64 with 5:30 remaining before Kansas City put together an 8-2 run. Arkel Lamar and Gilyard hit three-pointers for the Roos to go up five, and they led the rest of the way.

NDSU will conclude the regular season at North Dakota on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m. The Bison sit third in the Summit League standings at 12-5.
