FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State soccer played out a scoreless draw against North Dakota on Sunday, Oct. 8, in Summit League play at Dacotah Field.
The Bison had several key scoring chances, but were unable to convert any, despite outnumbering North Dakota in shots, 17-9.
NDSU goalkeeper
Abby Wilkinson made a key save to keep the game level with three minutes remaining in the first half, denying a breakaway opportunity for Milan Cordone.
Wilkinson would finish the game with four saves, setting a new personal season best with her fifth shutout and ninth of her career.
The two best chances for the Bison came off of shots from
Jess Hanley and
Ava Stanchina in the second half. Stanchina's shot forced a diving finger tip save from UND goalkeeper Madi Livingston in the 67
th minute.
The Bison will head back on the road and make a trip to Vermillion, South Dakota for an important Summit League match up, as NDSU takes on South Dakota on Sunday, Oct. 15. The match is set for a 1 p.m. kickoff and will be streamed live on the Summit League Network.
