SAN JOSE, Calif. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team lost at San Jose State on Monday night, falling 78-65 in the first of back-to-back matchups against the Spartans.
San Jose State made 11-of-24 attempts (46 percent) from three-point range, while NDSU shot 5-of-19 (26 percent) from beyond the arc. The Bison shot 39 percent overall for the game.
Sophomore
Damari Wheeler-Thomas led NDSU with 18 points, four rebounds, and three assists.
Boden Skunberg scored 13 points, and
Andrew Morgan added 10 points and six boards.
San Jose State led 32-27 at halftime after going ahead by as many as 10 points in the first half. The Bison scored the first six points of the second half to go up 33-32.
With the Spartans leading 40-39, San Jose State rattled off an 8-0 run to push its advantage back to nine.
SJSU's Trey Anderson led all players with 21 points.
The Bison (4-4) will host San Jose State in a rematch next Monday, Dec. 4, at the Scheels Center in Fargo.
