FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State University women's track & field team has three event groups ranked among the nation's 10 best in the latest outdoor event squad rankings released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) this week.
The event squad rankings rank every Division I team within each single event, averaging the best performances from the top four athletes at each school in each event.
The Bison women are No. 9 nationally in the 100m hurdles, No. 10 in the triple jump, and No. 10 in the javelin in the latest rankings.
NDSU's
Terezia Bolibruch,
Salmata Korgho,
Bailee Dierks and
Sydney Arndt combine for an average 100m hurdles time of 13.77 this season. The Bison are one of only five teams in Division I with four women running under 13.90 this year.
In the triple jump,
Alissa Melvin,
Jodi Lipp,
Daejha Moss and
Grace Emineth are No. 10 in the event squad rankings with an average mark of 40-1 (12.22m).
The Bison stand as the 10th-best squad in the javelin, with
Alex Seagris,
Hayley Schmidt,
Taylor Leingang and
Jenna Parent averaging 145-8 (44.38m) for a season-best mark this year.
