Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Bison Scorch Western Michigan 98-62 with Historically Hot Shooting

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team ran its winning streak to seven, thrashing Western Michigan 98-62 behind a historically hot shooting performance on Sunday inside the Scheels Center.

NDSU shot 69 percent overall for the game, including an 18-for-31 performance (58 percent) from three-point range. The Bison made 20-of-24 attempts from inside the arc. Overall, it was NDSU's highest team field goal percentage ever against a Division I opponent.

NDSU's 18 three-pointers were the second-most in a game in school history. The Bison drained nine treys in the first 11 minutes of Sunday's contest.

The Bison registered an 85.5% effective field goal percentage for the game – the highest single-game mark in Division I this season, and just the third time in the past five seasons that a team has topped 85 percent for a game.

NDSU's seven-game win streak is the eighth-longest active streak in the nation. It's the longest streak for the Bison since February 2020.

Jacari White finished with 19 points, five rebounds and five assists for NDSU. Jacksen Moni had 16 points and seven assists. Masen Miller added 15 points on five treys.

NDSU racked up 24 assists in the game, with freshman Andy Stefonowicz recording five.

The Bison scored 49 points in both halves, led by 21 at the break, and pushed the margin to 40 points in the final minutes.

The victory was the 200th of David Richman's career as head coach.

NDSU (10-4) will host Cal State Bakersfield on Monday, Dec. 23, for the final non-conference game of the season.
