FARGO, N.D. – South Dakota State built a 25-point lead in the first half on its way to a 78-61 victory over the North Dakota State men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon inside the Scheels Center.

The Jackrabbits went on a 23-3 run over a seven-minute stretch late in the first half to lead 50-27 at halftime. The Bison never cut the deficit to less than 16 points over the final 20 minutes.

Jacari White led NDSU with 16 points, making 4-of-5 from three-point range. SDSU's Zeke Mayo led all players with 19 points.

SDSU shot 55 percent for the game and made 8-of-21 (38 percent) from beyond the arc. The Bison shot 48 percent overall and 41 percent from downtown (9-of-22). NDSU committed 14 turnovers, compared to just five by the Jackrabbits.

The Bison had won three of the previous four against SDSU, including a win in Brookings on Feb. 1 of this season.

NDSU is locked into the 4/5 quarterfinal game of the Summit League Tournament, which will be played on Sunday, Mar. 10, at 6 p.m. in Sioux Falls.
