CORVALLIS, Ore. – The North Dakota State baseball team came up short at No. 6 Oregon State, 10-0, in eight innings at Goss Stadium.
Both teams worked through three scoreless innings following a weather delay to begin the contest before Dallas Marcias put the Beavers (10-1) on the board with a two-run home run in the fourth. Oregon State then added three more runs in the fifth to increase their lead to 5-0 following an RBI double off the bat of Marcias. The Beavers put the game away in the eighth erupting for five runs to make the score 10-0 after a throwing error.
Logan Knight (0-2) made the start for the Bison (2-8) on the mound tossing a season-high seven strikeouts over 5.0 innings.
Seth Thompson and
Austin Bergum also made appearances on the hill and added one strikeout each.
NDSU will conclude its series at Oregon State tomorrow. First pitch is set for 2:35 p.m. CT
