FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State softball hit four home runs, including a pair from seniors on senior day, to split a doubleheader with Kansas City in Summit League action at Tharaldson Park. The Bison fell 4-0 to Kansas City in game one, before winning 11-3 in five innings in the second game.

In game one, Kansas City took the lead in the top of the second with a two-run home run from Sydney Nichols and it would be all that Roos pitcher Camryn Stickel needed. Stickel tossed a complete game shutout, scattering three hits and two walks. Kansas City would add a run in the fifth and then another in the seventh. Savy Williams picked up the loss, allowing three runs on nine hits with three strikeouts in 5.1 innings.

However, the Bison would answer back with a four home runs in game two, starting with a three-run shot from Jasmyn Yessian and Ava Chavarria two pitches later in the bottom of the first to put the Bison up 4-0.
