Olson Concludes Sophomore Season at NCAA West Prelims

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – North Dakota State sophomore track & field athlete Paul Olson concluded his season at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds on Friday afternoon.
Olson (Oxbow, N.D. / Kindred HS) tied for 39th place in the high jump, clearing 6-06.25 (1.99m). It was his debut at the NCAA West Prelims, which include the region's top 48 performers in each event.
Olson won the Summit League decathlon title two weeks ago on May 10, scoring 7,285 points to rank seventh all-time at NDSU. He cleared 6-10.75 (2.10m) during that decathlon, putting him at No. 8 on the NDSU all-time list for the outdoor high jump.
Olson finished the season at No. 41 on the NCAA performance list in the decathlon.
