NDSU Softball Completes Staff with Addition of Jimenez

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State softball head coach Darren Mueller completed his coaching staff on Thursday, July 11, announcing the addition of Juju Jimenez as an assistant coach. Jimenez will join the staff after wrapping up her playing career at the University of Utah this past season.
"Juju is a great addition to our staff," said Mueller. "She has been a part of many successful programs and coaches in her career and has played at the highest levels. She is going to bring a ton of energy and passion and we are thrilled to have her in our program."
Jimenez was a two-time NFCA All-Region selection and two-time All-Pac 12 honoree at Utah after transferring to the Utes from the University of Michigan, where she was also an All-Big Ten performer.
"I'm incredibly fortunate to join an amazing program with a fantastic coaching staff," said Jimenez. "I'm beyond grateful and excited to be part of this journey. I want to give a huge thanks to Darren for supporting my education and passion for the game. Go Bison!"
In a five-year career, the Fontana, California native started 235 games at Michigan and Utah, primarily as an infielder. Jimenez had a careering .290 batting average with a .356 on-base percentage and a .490 slugging percentage. Out of 206 career hits, Jimenez had 78 extra-base hits, including 44 doubles, four triples and 30 home runs. She finished with 170 career RBI and 102 runs scored. Defensively she finished with 277 career putouts and 278 assists.
Jimenez graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Utah in Family, Community and Human Development in 2024. She will be pursuing a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Sport Coaching from North Dakota State.
